This policy explains what personal data [Company name] ([Address]) processes for WeatherNudge, why, and your choices. Questions: support@weathernudge.com.
1. Two kinds of data
- Contractors (our customers): name, business details, login email, billing status (payment details are handled by Paddle, not stored by us), and how you use the Service.
- Homeowners (our customers' customers): name, phone, email, address/ZIP uploaded or imported by the contractor; text and email consent records (time, source, wording, IP address and browser for online sign-ups); replies; photos and notes sent through a private photo link. For this data the contractor is responsible and we act on their behalf (see Data Processing).
2. How we use it
To run the Service: match weather events to service areas, prepare and send the contractor's messages, record consent and opt-outs, store photos, write AI pre-assessment notes for the contractor, provide support, keep the Service secure, and bill contractors. We do not use homeowner data for our own marketing.
3. We do not sell or share personal data
We do not sell personal data and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Mobile phone numbers and text-message consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
4. Service providers
We use providers that process data for us under contract: Supabase (database, file storage), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic (AI notes and message drafting), Paddle (payments), Resend (email delivery), and the contractor's own GoHighLevel or Twilio account (text delivery).
5. Photos
Photos are reduced in size and their location (GPS) data is removed before storage. Only the contractor who sent the link can see them.
6. Retention
We keep data while the contractor's account is active. Consent and opt-out records are kept as long as the law requires them as proof. When a subscription ends, customer data is deleted within 30 days and message (send) logs within 90 days, except records we must keep by law.
7. Your rights
Depending on your state (for example California), you can ask to know, correct or delete your personal data. Homeowners should contact the contractor who messaged them; we will help the contractor answer. You can stop texts at any time by replying STOP, and stop emails with the unsubscribe link.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit; access is limited per company; sending credentials are stored encrypted. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify affected contractors of a breach as required by law.
9. Children
The Service is not meant for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes
We will post changes here and update the date above; material changes are announced in the panel.
